FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Gulf Oil LP said that it is bringing its visible support for breast cancer research and awareness to a new level in May by adding a pink ribbon to its iconic orange disk logo in six Major League Baseball parks across the country.

(Reuters) – Adidas AG has sued to stop a US sporting goods retailer and a skateboarding equipment maker from selling sneakers with three parallel diagonal stripes, a design it said looks too much like its own.

The worlds second-largest sporting goods company claimed that sneakers made by World Industries Inc and sold by Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp are knock-offs that infringe many Adidas trademarks.

The shelter will give all adult dogs a booster shot for the diseases and quarantine new puppies from exposure until their vaccination has time to take effect.

According to Wilcox, the shelter has also scheduled a rabies and vaccination clinic with Dr. William Embry II on May 12th from 10 am until noon.

Dr. Embry will be offering rabies, seven and one and feline shots for $10 each during this time.  No appointment will be necessary, but pet owners should expect to wait in line.  All dogs that are aggressive will have to be muzzled or vaccinated outside.

Over the past week, the Taiwan dollar depreciated 0.44 percent against the greenback, with the exchange rate closing at NT$29.41 on Friday.

Mums campaign after Sussex leisure centre charges for babies

A campaign has been launched after a leisure centre started charging under ones.

Samantha Murray has nearly 100 signatures for her petition at change.org after being angry to discover a £2.25 charge for her baby at Downs Leisure Centre in Sutton Road, Seaford.

Babies used to get free entry if going to the centre with a sibling, but all infants are now charged a concessionary rate.

Mrs Murray, who has three children, discovered the changes when she took her five-day-old daughter to the centre.

School’s sporting history recognised

The Lake Ginninderra college in Canberra has launched a sporting hall of fame to celebrate the 116 Olympians the school has taught in its 25 year history.

The athletes trained at the nearby Australian Institute of Sport, and completed their secondary school studies at the University of Canberra Senior Secondary College.

Australias second most successful Olympian of all time is swimmer Petria Thomas.

She spent a year at the school and says it helped her get an education whilst meeting the demands of being an elite athlete.
